Classroom Offline Activity Flow
(1) Print the Detective Notes worksheets before class (B&W, double-sided, landscape, 2 pages, fold in half);
(2) Use the PowerPoint slides to guide the activity and interact with students;
(3) Ask students questions throughout the lesson and reveal answers step-by-step on the slides;
(4) Students should fill in blanks and take notes directly in their Detective Notes worksheet
[Optional] Students are encouraged to personalize their Detective Notes by coloring illustrations and adding their own drawings and annotations. This helps students create a personalized “case file” while learning microbiology concepts through investigation and critical thinking.

Breast Cancer Classification (2025)
Media: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
Description: This double-page spread was designed to solve the communication challenge of illustrating the complexity of breast cancer classification in a clear, visually engaging format for medical professionals and students. This illustration provides a visual overview of breast cancer classification, integrating both histologic and molecular perspectives. The left side focuses on traditional histologic classification, categorizing tumors by invasiveness (Stage 0 to Stage I) and tissue origin—either ductal or lobular. The right side presents a modern, biologically driven framework, classifying tumors into molecular subtypes ranging from luminal to basal-like. The y-axis reflects increasing tumor grade and genomic instability, while the x-axis represents disease progression from in-situ to invasive and metastatic stages. A consistent reddish-pink hue is used to visually indicate cancer progression across the diagram, effectively linking structural changes with molecular evolution.

Laparoscopic Living Donor Hepatectomy Procedure (2023)
Media: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
Description:Â This illustration was created after observing a liver transplant surgery performed by Dr. Jinsoo Rhu at Samsung Medical Center. It depicts the right liver resection process, emphasizing the patient's positioning, laparoscopic port placements, and critical anatomical structures. The surgical procedure is divided into four stages based on the incision area, with perspectives chosen to clearly show crucial structures such as the ligaments surrounding the right liver and components near the hilar plate. By using contrasting background colors, steps 2 and 3 are indicated as views from the laparoscopic screen. The entire process is arranged clockwise to make it easier for learners to follow the overall procedure.
Left Shoulder Open Laterjet Surgery Procedure (2024)
Media: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
Description: This collaborative illustration project was based on a surgical observation of a left shoulder open Latarjet procedure, conducted on February 14, 2024, at Women’s College Hospital and performed by Dr. John Theodoropoulos. I was responsible for illustrating the early stages of the operation, focusing on anatomical accuracy and clear visual sequencing of the coracoid process detachment.
